  • Do I need a wellness coach or a therapist?
As a coach I work with clients on current wellness challenges to help you develop a plan for a more balanced and joyful future. In a coaching relationship we are equals, working together to create the best plan to help you address challenges. A therapist can help you navigate difficult emotions and trauma rooted in your past. Therapists can diagnose and treat mental health disorders. You are not equals in a relationship with a therapist, rather you are the patient and the therapist is a doctor.
  • What does a coaching session typically look like?
I will be using a coaching method which goes beyond giving advice and cheering you on. My goal is to help you experience transformation not just give you information. I will do this by asking questions and helping you get to the core of your issues. In our 30–60-minute online sessions, I will move through four steps. We will discuss your challenge, the outcome you'd like to experience, reframing the situation and finally envisioning what it will look like to take steps toward that goal.
  • How often should I meet with a wellness coach?
It depends on the client. I can meet clients weekly, twice a month or once a month. I suggest at least 6 sessions, so we can dig deep into challenges and experiment with what works best for you. My coaching is very personalized, I look forward to finding a schedule that best supports you in this work.
  • What is the financial commitment?
Each coaching session is currently $75. This includes 30–60-minute online coaching, a detailed follow up email including your intentions till our next session, optional check-ins and a reflection email 24-48 hours before our next session. If you are ready to commit to 6 coaching sessions, you can buy a package for $400. Also, I provide a sliding scale for clients who need it. Please let me know if this would be helpful for you and we can work together to find a price that works for you.
  • Why do I need a coach?
A good wellness coach will feel like connecting with a friend who listens to your challenges and helps you navigate solutions. As a client of mine, you will have accountability for the intentions you set. We all know what we should be doing to take better care of ourselves, the challenge is prioritizing it in your daily life. I am here to help you find ways to successfully make lifelong changes that bring joy and balance into your daily life.
  • Is coaching in person or online?
Currently I am seeing clients online via Zoom.
  • Should I show up even when I didn’t do the work?
Yes! This is the best time to show up. We can discuss what was challenging, how you’d like to shift your intentions and create a more doable plan for the following week(s). I help clients approach their journey as an experiment, so all information will help you find the lifestyle changes which will truly stay with you long term.
  • Why do you recommend a minimum of 6 sessions?
Long term habit change does not happen overnight. We will come up with realistic weekly goals. For example, if your goal is to eat healthier, we might spend the first session creating a plan to clean out your pantry. The second session we might discuss healthier dinner options and how to make it happen. The third session we might discuss why you chose take out instead of cooking at home last week. Then talk about what we can realistically shift to make cooking at home easier or maybe for you the solution is choosing healthier take out. Between sessions I will provide support through detailed emails and check-ins if wanted. The accountability provided is often what clients need to get through the process successfully.
